Solar Power Is Affordable And Clean Why The United States Is Changing Its Outlook On Energy Usage

Solar power is the way of the future.

Why wouldn’t it be? It’s one of the cleanest forms of energy we have outside of wind power, leaving no carbon footprint and giving the environment a much-needed breather. It’s extremely effective, providing just as much power (and sometimes more) compared to conventional models. Last, but not least, it’s affordable and quite easy to install in a variety of different applications. From eco-friendly homes to businesses that want a new model, dispensing solutions are a fantastic boost in a tired economy. The meter mix ensures no solar panel is mismanaged.

Let’s take a look at gear metering systems and what they do for a world shifting ever closer to a lean, green ideal.

Replacing Halogen With LED Models

Here’s one area that’s already seen some significant changes…and all with hardly any effort. The United States has a pretty high energy output, with lighting leading the pack. The U.S. Department Of Energy released a statement that LED lighting has the potential to reduce the country’s output by nearly 50%. LEDs use just 15% of the energy of a standard halogen light while providing 85% more. As some would say, that’s a match made in heaven.

The Growth Of Solar Power Worldwide

If LEDs are giving the country hope for eco-friendly change, where does that put solar power? The sun is a nearly unlimited resource (by the time it fizzles out humanity might very well not be around anymore). The cost of solar panels has dipped 100 times over since the mid 1970’s, half as cheap as they were in 2008. The United States boasts over one and a half million solar installations. It was 2016 that crossed the one million mark after an already impressive year of growth, with 2022 expecting to reach four million or more.

Energy Capacity Of The United States

The constant output in the United States can’t be overstated. Homeowners spend an average of half their monthly bill on heating and cooling costs alone. Businesses everywhere are making the switch from halogens to LEDs in order to cut back on astronomical yearly figures. By the time 2017 arrived there were nearly 50 GW of total solar capacity in the country. Interestingly enough, a mere 0.0005% of the planet’s surface would need to be covered in solar panels to provide all our energy needs.

Function Of Epoxy Dispensing Solutions

Solar panels need to be applied smartly if they’re to last as long as possible. Due to their nature of drawing upon heat from the sun they need a dispensing solution that can hold up to temperature differences. Unlike other polymers, the potting compounds you use will shrink as they cure. This can be as high as 2% for the unfilled epoxy potting compound. Learning how to manage your cartridge dispenser so it’s delivering a smooth and reliable output every time will take practice, but it’s well worth the effort.

Using Your Adhesive Dispensing System

There are a few things you can do to make sure your dispensing system is always maintaining standard. Potting compounds must flow well to encapsulate the electronic components required to create a functioning panel. This means no voids, no air bubbles, and no dramatic shrinkage that requires reapplication. Viscosity is key, with most potting compounds ranging between 400 cps to 50,000 cps. The curing process can see potting compounds reaching a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.

Solar power is clean, applicable, and incredibly cheap. It’s thanks to the meter mix system dispensing solutions, and the hard works of everyday people, that we’ve been able to get to this point.
